Minimal risk
There is minimal risk when hosting your customer data with Urban Route since we only require customer information like Name, Email Address. By hosting with Urban Route eMarketing other sensitive customer is kept outside of the project scope minimizing the potential risk.

Easier maintenance is beneficial to the success of a project. Since Urban Route can maintain and update customer information quickly there is less chance for errors.
Decreased bandwidth or traffic load for your database
Hosting customer data at Urban Route will decrease bandwidth and traffic load off your database server. Increased traffic poses a risk and can potentially cost you more money.
If you do have an existing customer list it can be exported and then imported into our secure database server. Virtually all Database software comes with export functionality. Only a minimal amount of information will need to be exported. Like name and email address. Urban Route is qualified to handle this type of database export/import procedure. It will require minimal effort from your organization.
Customer data can be hosted on your own database server if you wish. Although this is not the recommended approach it can be done. Some items your organization needs to be aware of:
1. All organizations in BC need to comply with the Personal Information Protection Act.
2. Database servers need to be protected by a firewall and or router and should be administered by a certified professional.
3. Customer data for email newsletter campaigns are minimal and should be kept in a separate database to minimize risk of more sensitive data.
